Trial date set for man accused in fatal Lake of the Ozarks shooting

LAKE OZARK, Mo. (KMIZ)

A trial date has been set for a man accused of a fatal shooting at the Lake of the Ozarks last summer.

Tonka Ponder is charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action in a shooting that killed one man and injured four others.

A judge ordered a jury trial during a court appearance Wednesday.

The case is scheduled for September 5 through 15 of next year.

Back in January, a judge granted a change in venue, the trial will be held at the St. Charles Circuit Court.
