Johnson leads Tennessee St. past SIU-Edwardsville in OVC

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Shakem Johnson had 22 points plus 11 rebounds as fifth-seeded Tennessee State defeated No. 8 seed Southern Illinois-Edwardsville 77-62 in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament first round. Shaun Doss Jr. led the Cougars on Wednesday night with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
