Sedalia police arrest six in two-day drug bust

The Sedalia Police Department arrested six people as part of a drug bust this week.

The narcotics saturation effort took place Tuesday and Wednesday after the department received multiple complaints about homes suspected of being involved in illegal drug activity.

Traffic stops, subject checks and “knock and talk” investigations were made during the operation.

“Thanks to the detailed information provided by concerned citizens of the community regarding these problem areas, many of these contacts resulted in arrests and criminal charges,” the department posted on its Facebook wall Thursday.

On Tuesday, Glen T. D. Grant Sr. and Tamalon R. Craig were each arrested on different drug-related charges. Travis D. Martin was also arrested, but for a Pettis County warrant stemming from a traffic offense.

On Wednesday, Matthew W. Jones and Charles R. Winsauer were arrested on various drug-related charges. Rayford L. Whitney was arrested for driving while suspended.
