Columbia police investigating multiple burglaries over the weekend
Columbia Police Department is investigating multiple burglaries that happened over the weekend.
On Sunday at 11:43 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Clark Lane in reference to a past burglary. Police say the burglary occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Sunday morning. The suspect(s) reportedly gained entrance into the residence through a door. Prescription medications were stolen from the residence.
On Sunday at 10:13 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of University Avenue in reference to a past burglary. The burglary is believed to have happened between 8 p.m. on Saturday night and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. The suspect(s) gained entrance into the residence through a glass door. There were no items reported stolen.
On Sunday at 8 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Tupelo Place in response to a burglary. When officers arrived, a vacant apartment which was being shown for rent had an air-conditioning unit missing. The unit was reportedly removed from the window of the residence, damaging the window frame. Officers found Sirenna Todd in one of the rooms of that home. Todd told officers she was invited by a male to the location to “hangout.” Todd was arrested on Sunday at 11:15 a.m. in the 2900 block of Rangeline Street for infraction trespassing in the second degree.
On Saturday at 8:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 5800 block of Misty Springs Way for a report into a past burglary. The burglary happened between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The suspect(s) gained entrance into the residence through a door. No items were reported stolen.
Columbia police public information officer Bryana Larimer told ABC 17 News the department could not speculate on whether or not any of these are connected.
