Gorgeous last day of spring
TODAY : Temperatures this afternoon are on the pleasant side, with highs already climbing into the upper 70s. A mix of sun and clouds will remain with us through the day, along with a westerly breeze up to 15 mph. Temperatures this afternoon will top out in the lower 80s. Through the afternoon hours, a weak upper level disturbance will track through northern Missouri. This will likely spark a few isolated showers along I-70. Even with that said, it will be a comfortable day. Lower dew points in the upper 50s will keep heat indices at bay, closely matching the actual temperature.
TONIGHT: Another calm evening is in store as skies remain mostly clear with a light breeze out of the southwest up to 8 mph. Temperatures will begin to drop into the lower 60s.
EXTENDED: Dry weather will continue into Tuesday and Wednesday for with highs in the upper 80s. A chance of storms returns as we head into late Wednesday night. Luckily the heat looks to take a backseat this week, as our hottest day looks to be Wednesday/Thursday, with highs only near 90. Our next cold front looks to bring unsettled weather as we head into the close of this week, with scattered showers and storms.
