Dog dies in Fulton house fire on Saturday morning

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Fulton Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 800 block of Jefferson St. in Fulton on Saturday morning.

Crews arrived on scene around 5:30 a.m. and saw flames showing from the house. Fire crews found a dog that had died in the fire during the search of the house. No other civilians were reported hurt from the fire.

Neighbors reported that homeless people had been staying at the house at the time of the fire. Fire crews report the fire started on the first floor and it was determined to be unintentional.

During the incident, one firefighter partially fell through the floor and was minorly hurt. Another firefighter had his knee punctured during the fire operations.
