Highway patrol looking for driver after hit-and-run crash involving bicyclist

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is looking for a driver after a hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist north of Columbia on Wednesday.

Troopers said the crash happened around 7:50 a.m. on Route E, north of the West Driskel Road intersection.

According to the patrol, the driver of an SUV rear-ended Tyler Cordia, 25, of Columbia, while he was riding a bicycle.

Cordia went off the right side of the road and was thrown from the bike. Emergency crews took Cordia to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.

The patrol said the driver left the crash scene without stopping.

At last check, no arrests had been made.
