Bicyclist injured in Boone County hit and run

A bicyclist suffered from moderate injuries after he was hit during a hit and run in Boone County.

An unknown Jeep SUV was traveling northbound on Route E when he hit the bicyclist from behind, causing the bicycle to go off of the right side of the road and ejecting the bicyclist.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene northbound without stopping. The bicyclist was Tyler Cordia, 25, of Columbia. He was taken to University Hospital.
