Traffic Alert: Fuel spill shuts down northeast Columbia road

Emergency crews are on the scene of a fuel spill in northeast Columbia.

It happened around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Paris Road.

Boone County EMA sent an alert out saying the southbound lanes of Paris Road are closed right now at Heriford.

The Columbia Fire Department is on scene and drivers are asked to avoid the area.

ABC 17 News has a crew on the way to the scene to find out what happened and when the road will reopen. We’ll update this story as we learn more.
