Fulton man pleads guilty to mail fraud and money laundering

UPDATE 6/7: According to an official press release, Houston operated First Stop Last Stop Pawn and Aromatherapy in Fulton and admitted that he contributed to $4,544,700 of the total $6,656,843 in gross proceeds generated by the conspiracy from Dec. 18, 2012, to July 16, 2015.

ORIGINAL STORY: A Fulton man has pleaded guilty to mail fraud and money laundering after being indicted by a federal grand jury with 12 other people, including eight mid-Missouri residents, for an alleged $6.6 million K2 conspiracy in Callaway County.

Jason Lee Houston made the plea agreement with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri.

The indictment alleges that “hundreds of shipments” of synthetic marijuana were made to Callaway County. Federal prosecutors say synthetic marijuana was sold at Inscentives Resale, with one location in Auxvasse and two locations in Fulton; and S&J Smoke Shop, in Holts Summit.
