Emergency crews respond to car fire near Boone County gas station

A car is severely damaged after a fire just south of Columbia in Boone County Monday night.

Crews responded to the vehicle fire just after 7 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Route K, near the Conoco gas station.

ABC 17 News crews reported seeing no damage to the building, but the front of the car appeared to have extensive fire damage.

We’ve reached out to the Boone County Fire Protection District to find out if anyone was hurt and what caused the fire.
