Severe storms roll across Missouri bringing strong winds, heavy rain and large hail

ABC17 News is tracking strong storms which are moving across Missouri Saturday afternoon bringing very strong winds, heavy rain and large hail.

According to Ameren Missouri’s outage page, 853 customers are without power in Camden County and 958 in Morgan County. The cause of both of these outages is unknown, right now.

Reports of trees and electrical lines are down on 135 South between Laurie and Stover in Morgan County. One large tree fell in Rock Island Park in Eldon.

Cooper County Emergency Management confirms nearly 1,000 people were placed into shelter at the old “K” barracks building on the Kemper campus.

These storms have a history of tornado warnings and watches as well as severe thunderstorm activity.
