Semi-truck overturns, driver flown to hospital

PHELPS, Mo. (KMIZ)

One man was flown to the hospital following a semi-truck crash on I-44 in Phelps County early Friday morning.

The crash, according to a report from The Missouri State Highway Patrol, happened as the truck's load shifted causing the truck to veer off the right side of the road and overturn.

The Driver, Chad Cherry, suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia.

According to the report, Cherry was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
