Dry and sunny for Thursday Afternoon

TODAY: A nice afternoon, as temperatures are working back towards seasonable conditions. We’ll see sunny skies through most of the day with highs climbing into the mid and upper 70s. Winds through the day will be out of the southwest under 10 mph.

TONIGHT: It looks mostly clear in the evening with clouds increasing overnight. A warm front will begin to move into the area bringing lows well above normal in the low 60s overnight.

EXTENDED: There is a chance of storms Friday morning but they would be spotty, and mainly north of I-70. Additional storms could develop Friday afternoon into early evening. If these develop, they could become strong to severe. There is a marginal severe threat Friday afternoon for isolated strong wind gusts or 1 inch hail.Our best chance of rain moves in Saturday and Saturday night as a cold front slowly drifts through. Strong to severe storms look possible for Saturday afternoon and those with outdoor plans should check the latest forecasts before heading out for the weekend. Flash flooding does not look to be a concern at this time. All modes however of severe weather are possible, especially for those south of I-70. It looks drier Sunday with only a slight chance of isolated storms. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s Saturday and the upper 70s Sunday and Memorial Day. There is also a slight chance of light showers Monday afternoon for mainly north of I-70 but most areas will stay dry.
