Shower chance Wednesday and cool for May

TONIGHT: Spotty early evening showers south of HWY 54 will end by 10 PM. Temperatures will be slightly below normal, dropping to the upper 40s overnight with partly cloudy skies.

WEDNESDAY: Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of spotty showers anytime after 8 AM. These would be quick, passing bursts of light rain and very “hit and miss”. It will stay cool with high temperatures only reaching the low 60s with a northwesterly breeze at 8-15 mph.

EXTENDED: We’ll start to warm back up on Thursday with plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid 70s. We’ll pick up a slight chance of t-storms late Thursday night and spotty storms are possible Friday ahead of a storm system. Our best chance of rain moves in Saturday and Saturday night as a cold front slowly drifts through. Strong to severe storms look possible for Saturday afternoon and those with outdoor plans should check the latest forecasts before heading out for the weekend. Flash Flooding does not look to be a concern at this time. It looks drier Sunday with only a slight chance of isolated storms. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s Saturday and the upper 70s Sunday and Memorial Day. There is also a slight chance of light showers Monday afternoon for mainly north of I-70.
