Columbia man arrested for assault, resisting arrest

Columbia police officers were called to the 1600 block of Highridge Circle on Wednesday because of an assault .

Allegedly, David Bligh kicked out the tail late of a man’s vehicle. When Bligh tried to kick out the other tail light, the man told Bligh to stop. Bligh proceeded to shove the man and hit him in the back, neck and head.

Bligh tried to resist arrest, but was eventually detained. Bligh was arrested for misdemeanor property damage, misdemeanor fourth degree assault and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
