Columbia man sentenced to probation for shooting into vehicle charged with assault

Majikwown Morales, the man who was sentenced to five years of supervised probation after shooting into a vehicle on Newton Drive in September of 2016 just last week, has been charged with fourth degree assault.

On May 11, Morales was in the 2000 block of Newton Drive, sitting in a vehicle. Morales started punching the victim and preventing him from exiting the vehicle.

The victim was allegedly able to pull Morales out of the vehicle and keep him at the scene until officers arrived.
