Driver arrested for DWI and assault after Maries County crash

UPDATE 5/16: ABC 17 News checked with the hospital and confirmed that the woman who was ejected, Brianna Bock, 21, of Bland, is still in serious condition.

Jessica D. Rohrer, 34, of Belle was traveling south on Belle Avenue when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic and hit a vehicle driven by Atira E. Thomspson, 28, of Smithton.

Abigail D. Bock, 24, of Bland, and Samantha C. Sooter, 18, of St. James suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

Rohrer also two minor children in her vehicle at the time of the crash.

Rohrer was arrested for DWI, four counts of assault and two counts of child endangerment.

ORIGINAL STORY: A person has been arrested for DWI and assault in Maries County after one woman was ejected from a vehicle and three people were taken to the hospital, one by helicopter and two by ambulance.

The woman who was ejected from one of the vehicles suffered serious injuries.

According to the Maries County Sheriffs Office Facebook page, it was a two vehicle accident on Highway 28 in Belle.
