Heavy traffic expected due to graduation ceremonies

People should expect heavy traffic throughout central Columbia, as University of Missouri graduation ceremonies continue all day Saturday.

The university is expected to hand out 6,088 degrees throughout the weekend.

The first graduation ceremony is the honors convocation, which starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Mizzou Arena.

The last graduation ceremony is for the school of health professions and starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Hearnes Center.

Authorities said they will do everything they can to keep traffic flowing and university police will be at every ceremony.

Parking is expected to be limited.
