Your Mizzou graduation weekend forecast

Luckily for Mizzou graduates, next weekend will bring another weekend for exceptional weather in Columbia! For those traveling into town before the start of the weekend, Thursday holds a chance of rain showers. Thursday morning holds the greatest chance for showers as the system will weaken into Thursday afternoon and into Friday morning. This round of precipitation could bring up to an additional 1.5″ of rain, so we will also need monitor flood conditions from last weekend’s rain event. Areas with the greatest rainfall totals are looking to be along and just south of the I-70 corridor. However right now, it’s looking like this system won’t impact road conditions into Columbia.

Friday, the first day of Mizzou commencement ceremonies, could see lingering showers in the early morning hours. Any precipitation will be light and short lived. By the afternoon Columbia will see mostly sunny skies with temperatures rising into the upper 60s. Friday evening, conditions will continue to be dry with temperatures dropping into the upper 40s.

Saturday and Sunday will see gorgeous conditions continue! Temperatures will be rising into the 70s with mostly sunny conditions.

As we approach commencement weekend, the ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team will update you on any changing conditions.
