QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should Missouri’s gas tax hike be repealed?
State Rep. Sara Walsh (R-Ashland) wants to repeal a gas tax increase that went into effect last year.
The tax increases by 2.5 cents each year for five years. Lawmakers approved it, saying the state needs the money for needed repairs and upgrades to Missouri's transportation system.
But Walsh contends voters should pass such an increase, not legislators.
