MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Morgan County prosecutor has charged a Stover man with multiple charges of sex crimes against a child.

Christopher Lake, 38, is charged with second-degree child molestation, incest, second-degree statutory sodomy and fourth-degree child molestation.

Lake allegedly had sexual contact with a teenage girl at a conservation area in Nov. 2021.

A county deputy received a report of that possible sexual assault around Feb. 3rd.

Lake reportedly admitted to the crime in an interview on Feb. 11.

Lake is being held at the Morgan County Jail without bond.

Lake will be arraigned in court on Tuesday.
