One person killed in boat crash at Lake of the Ozarks
One person was killed in a boat crash at the Lake of the Ozarks Thursday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said the crash happened around 9:15 p.m. near mile marker 77.
According to the crash report, a boat was traveling upstream at a high rate of speed and struck the shoreline.
Daniel Walters, 43, of Battle Creek, Nebraska was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people suffered moderate injuries and a third person suffered serious injuries.
The incident is Troop F’s first boating fatality for 2017.
