COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Several Mid-Missouri schools announced altered bus routes because of snowy roads on Monday.

The Jefferson City School District will run snow routes in Callaway County during the morning.

Other schools like Prairie Home R-V and Osage County R-3 will also run on snow routes in the morning.

This means buses will not drive on county roads before school, but they are expected to use them after school.

California R-I, Eldon R-I, Maries R-I, Fulton and Boonville School District will have snow routes for both pickup and drop off on Monday.

South Callaway will have virtual learning only on Monday. Iberia R-V Schools cancelled school on Monday.

This comes after dozens of local schools were out or learning online this past week as a winter storm dumped snow across the state.
