Jefferson City inmate guilty of second-degree murder in fellow prisoner’s death

On April 7, an Algoa Correctional Center inmate was found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of a fellow inmate.

Bailey Trent-Kettelkamp and David Young were charged in December 2015 with hitting and kicking Harley Holt in the head. Holt died from his injuries.

After a four-day trial, Trent-Kettelkamp was convicted of second-degree murder and committing violence against another inmate. He is set to be sentenced May 24.

Young’s case is expected to go to trial May 9. He faces the same charges as Trent-Kettelkamp.
