Fabulous Friday evening conditions ahead

TODAY: Light winds and clear sunny skies are going to keep our Friday pleasant and comfortable into the evening. Temperatures will reach into the lower 60s and decrease into the lower 50s by tonight. Skies will turn partly cloudy by evening as winds become southerly.

SATURDAY: Skies will gradually transition to mostly sunny through the morning hours with early AM temperatures in the mid 40s. Expect dry and breezy conditions by mid-morning with 7-16 mph sustained winds and gusts up the 25 mph out of the south. Saturday’s high will be above the seasonal average in the mid to upper 70s with lighter winds by evening.

EXTENDED: The warming trend continues into Sunday. Temperatures will push into the upper 70s Sunday with a few locations reaching 80 degrees. It will be breezy again by late Sunday morning with southerly winds 9-17 mph and gusts up to 30 mph. Storms are expected to develop in western Missouri by late Sunday afternoon and move into Mid-Missouri Sunday evening and overnight with best chances west of HWY 63 mainly after 9PM. Strong to severe storms are possible. As a cold front slowly moves east Monday, rain ends in the morning with additional storms possible in the afternoon mainly near I-44. It looks dry for Tuesday and much of Wednesday next week, while we’ll keep an eye on another storm system approaching next Wednesday through Friday.
