Severe Threat Sunday Night

There is an increasing risk for severe weather Sunday night and early Monday morning of next week. Storms look to develop in eastern Kansas by early afternoon 1PM-4PM on Sunday with a line of storms developing ahead of a cold front. The line looks to increase in western Mid-Missouri moving in after 9PM, with storms increasing in Columbia and Jefferson City overnight. The environment looks favorable on Sunday night for supercell storms to get going. If this occurs storms could produce large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes. The counties shaded in yellow are under the Slight Risk and the areas shaded in green are under the Marginal Risk. We’ll be monitoring Sunday’s system as it gets closer.
