One person extricated after single-vehicle crash in northeast Columbia

UPDATE: Columbia police said the driver, Dawnette Briscoe, was the person who had to be extricated.

Briscoe was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The passenger, Kirmon Bush, did not sustain any injuries.

Police said the car was traveling south on Paris Road, approaching Vandiver Drive, when it collided with the northwest corner intersection median.

The investigation is ongoing.

ORIGINAL: Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash in northeast Columbia Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Paris Road and Vandiver Drive.

ABC 17 News was told two people were in the car at the time of the crash. One of them had to be extricated. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

The intersection was blocked off while crews worked the scene and Columbia police investigated.

ABC 17 News will update this story as we gather more information.
