Trial delayed for man accused in trooper’s death

The trial for a mid-Missouri man accused of killing a state highway patrol trooper was delayed Tuesday.

The decision was made during a pretrial conference for Serghei Comerzan. He’s accused of killing trooper James Bava after he led Bava on chase in 2015.

Bava was killed after he wrecked his patrol vehicle.

The Audrain County prosecutor told ABC 17 News that a new date has not yet been set.
