CPD SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiation Team conduct training exercises in Boone County
If you notice a heavy police presence around Boone County on Wednesday, you may be witnessing a training exercise for the Columbia Police Department.
The Columbia Police Department SWAT Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team will be training from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the following locations:
— Spencer Avenue and Worley Street
— Boone County Fire District Training Facility, 5225 Roger I. Wilson Memorial Drive
— Columbia Fire Training Academy, 700 Big Bear Boulevard
— Highway 40 and I-70
The “Bearcat,” an armored vehicle, may also be spotted at these locations.
