COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia Public Schools and the Jefferson City School District have decided to stay closed for a third straight day on Friday as the area continues to dig out from a snowstorm that dumped as much as nearly 10 inches on Mid-Missouri.

And the University of Missouri said it will keep classes all online for a third straight day, as well.

Columbia College announced shortly after noon that all classes will be online after two days without day classes and night classes being online-only. Most schools and higher education institutions canceled classes or went online starting Wednesday.
Stephens College will have online classes only.
Westminster College in Fulton said the college and its Churchill museum will also be closed Friday. Lincoln University in Jefferson City will also be closed, but online classes will take place as scheduled.
Some school districts, including Southern Boone, called off Friday classes earlier in the week.
Accumulating snow had stopped for most of Mid-Missouri by Thursday afternoon but roads around the area remained covered in snow.
