Periods of rain & storms Wednesday through Thursday

TONIGHT: Skies will remain cloudy with lows near 50 and easterly winds at 8-12 mph becoming gusty. Showers and t-storms will move in from the west to near HWY 65 by 5 AM, heading east through daybreak.

WEDNESDAY: Scattered showers and t-storms in the morning will end by early afternoon with high temperatures near 60 and an east wind at 15 mph. The chance of showers and storms increases from late afternoon through the evening. Some will produce heavy rain and could be strong to severe with damaging wind and large hail the primary threats.

EXTENDED: Showers and storms will be on and off Wednesday night through Thursday with a few strong storms possible late Thursday afternoon closer to I-44. Total rainfall for Wednesday through Thursday is expected to come in at 1.0″- 2.5″. Minor flooding is possible Wednesday night but widespread flooding is not expected. After the rain moves out Thursday evening, it will be dry and cool Friday with highs in the 50s. The weekend will start off dry with high temperatures in the lower 60s Saturday but another chance of rain moves in Sunday morning.
