Scattered showers taper off through Monday afternoon
TODAY: After a rainy start to the work week, we’ll gradually see the rain come to an end through the afternoon hours, as the low exits to the east. An additional .10″ of rain is likely before the rain ends this afternoon. Thanks to overcast skies and the rain we’ve seen, temperatures will struggle to climb out of the 50s today, with winds out of the north under 10 mph.
TONIGHT: It looks mostly cloudy overnight with a north wind at 5-8 mph. Temperatures overnight will fall again to the mid 40s. With light winds overnight, there is a chance for patchy fog to develop on Tuesday morning.
EXTENDED: Tuesday looks to be the dry day under a mostly cloudy sky. Storms will return on Wednesday. There is a slight risk for severe weather in parts of Mid-Missouri. There looks to be two rounds of possible heavy rain on Wednesday, first early in the morning, and the second in the evening. We’ll need to watch for all modes of severe weather possible on Wednesday. Additional rain looks likely by Thursday with rain amounts this week ranging from 2″ to 2.5″ for most locations.
