Scattered Rain and Drizzle Monday Morning

TODAY: Widely scattered rain and drizzle will be on and off this morning, ending east of US 63 by 2PM-4PM. You’ll want the umbrella for the morning commute. There is not a severe threat expected today. Rain amounts will range from 0.10″ to 0.30″ along and north of I-70, along with areas south seeing slightly higher amounts upwards to 0.60″ near the Lake of the Ozarks. After a cool morning with temperatures in the upper 40s, temperatures will reach the upper 50s/low 60s this afternoon, feeling very much like a spring day. Winds look to stay from the north/northeast 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT: It looks mostly cloudy overnight with a north wind at 5-8 mph. Temperatures overnight will fall again to the mid 40s. With light winds overnight, there is a chance for patchy fog to develop on Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: Tuesday looks to be the dry day under a mostly cloudy sky. Storms will return on Wednesday. There is a slight risk for severe weather in parts of Mid-Missouri. There looks to be two rounds of possible heavy rain on Wednesday, first early in the morning, and the second in the evening. We’ll need to watch for all modes of severe weather possible on Wednesday. Additional rain looks likely by Thursday with rain amounts this week ranging from 2″ to 2.5″ for most locations.
