Mild night, warm and stormy Friday

TONIGHT: With mostly clear skies, temperatures will stay mild due to a steady southerly breeze. Lows will drop to the upper 50s with a south wind at 10-15 mph.

FRIDAY: It will be a warm, windy day with southerly winds at 12-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph at times and high temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Showers and t-storms will increase after 1 PM from the west, moving east through the evening hours. A few strong to severe storms are possible with large hail and damaging winds the main threats.

EXTENDED: As the line of storms moves out Friday night, showers will increase Saturday morning and continue through the afternoon. We’ll watch areas east of HWY 63 for the potential of large hail in isolated storms that form Saturday afternoon but most areas will not have severe weather. Highs will reach the mid 60s Saturday and lower 60s Sunday. Sunday will be mainly dry but more rain is expected late Sunday evening and overnight as another storm system approaches by next Monday.
