Human remains found in Gasconade County pond
The Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after human remains were found in a pond.
The agency began investigating a report of a missing person Tuesday morning off Route V near Owensville. The Maries County dive team helped with the search and found human remains and evidence of an apparent homicide in a pond.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the remains had not been identified.
The Sheriff’s Office is looking for James “Charlie” Holt Jr. of Florissant. The department says Holt is considered a person of interest.
