Partly Sunny and Cool Wednesday
TODAY: Thicker coats are needed this morning as temperatures are falling to the upper 30s. A northeast breeze will bring a wind chill to those north of I-70 in the mid 20s, and areas south of I-70 to low 30s. Temperatures will be 10-15 degrees cooler this afternoon with highs struggling to reach 50.
TONIGHT: Skies look to be mostly cloudy tonight with easterly winds at 8-12 mph. Temperatures again tonight will fall to the upper 30s. Winds look to shift late and early Thursday morning becoming more southeasterly.
EXTENDED: Thursday morning a chance for rain and a few thunderstorms are possible from 6AM-11AM. No severe weather is expected at this time for Thursday. These look like they’ll move out by early Thursday afternoon with drier weather until Friday night when a line of showers and t-storms moves in. These will continue into early Saturday morning as they shift to the east of HWY 63 and end. Heavy rain is possible with this line through Friday night where 1″ to 1.25″ of rain looks possible for most locations. Showers and isolated t-storms will increase late Saturday morning and continue through Saturday evening as low pressure moves across the area. Highs will reach the mid 60s Saturday and lower 60s Sunday. Sunday will be mainly dry but more rain is expected late Sunday evening and overnight as another storm system approaches.
