Cooler Tuesday, unsettled through the week

TONIGHT: The cooler air will be slow to arrive, as lows only bottom out in the mid to mid-upper 40s. Clouds will increase for a partly to mostly cloudy sky by morning with a northeasterly breeze up to 12 mph.

TUESDAY: Skies will remain mostly cloudy with possible showers. The best chance of rain will be south of HWY 50 with a slight chance in the afternoon farther north. Rainfall amounts of .01″ to .20″ are expected with highest amounts closer to I-44 in the Ozarks. High temperatures will stay in the upper 50s to near 60 with a northeasterly wind up to 18 mph.

EXTENDED: It will be colder Tuesday night with lows in the upper 30s under mostly cloudy skies. Wednesday will stay chilly with highs near 50 under partly to mostly cloudy skies and a chance of an isolated shower. The active weather continues for the end of the week as temperatures warm to near 60 Thursday and into the 70s Friday ahead of a strong storm system. Showers will increase Wednesday night into Thursday as warmer air starts to move in. These look like they’ll move out by early Thursday afternoon with drier weather until Friday afternoon when a line of showers and strong storms moves in. Heavy rain is possible with this line through Friday night. Please check back for updates and follow ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter and ABC17News on Facebook for updates as well.
