Weekend forecast, severe storm threat

The weekend will get off to a chilly start with temperatures only in the upper 30s Saturday morning. A cool northwesterly breeze will pick up to 10 mph as temperatures climb into the upper 50s to lower 60s in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

A warm front will move in from the southwest Sunday and winds will shift to the southeast in the morning and to the south in the afternoon. This will warm temperatures into the 60s but will also bring a slight chance of showers or t-storms early in the day Sunday. These would be spotty and more likely in the morning into early afternoon. However, this depends on the speed of the warm front and could change slightly. No severe weather is expected early Sunday.

A cold front will move in from the north Sunday night with an increasing chance of showers and t-storms after 10 PM. There is a chance of isolated severe storms with large hail of 1 inch in diameter or higher which is why there is a Marginal Severe Threat along and north of I-70 Sunday night.
