QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should Missouri expand legal self-defense protections?
A Missouri Senate committee heard testimony Tuesday on a bill that would expand legal protections for people claiming self-defense.
Mark McCloskey, the Republican Senate candidate who gained fame pointing his gun at protesters outside his St. Louis home, testified in favor of the bill. But the bill has many opponents who say it would allow criminals to avoid prosecution, including a prosecutor who called it the "Make Murder Legal Act."
