Chilly and Sunny Wednesday
TODAY: It will be a cold morning commute with most areas waking up to temperatures in the teens. The wind is light this morning, however enough to bring a wind chill with some areas seeing a wind chill of 8-15 this morning. Sunshine returns with high temperatures 15 below average near 40 this afternoon. Winds will stay under 5 mph, shifting to the southeast by evening.
TONIGHT: The evening is cool with temperatures in the mid 30s. Overnight lows will be slightly better in the upper 20s, still 5-10 degrees below normal for mid March.
EXTENDED: We’ll get back to more typical March weather as temperatures climb into the mid 50s Thursday under mostly cloudy skies. Showers and isolated t-storms are possible after 10 PM Thursday night through early Friday afternoon with a tenth of an inch of rain or less. Columbia looks to get under 0.05″. Highest amounts look to be south of HWY 50 where upwards to 0.10″ is possible. Southerly winds will bring warmer air in Friday and into the weekend with high temperatures reaching near 60 Saturday and mid 60s Sunday. There is a slight rain chance on Sunday morning south of I-70. By Sunday night and Monday morning the rain chance increases ahead of the next cold front to arrive by next Monday night.
