Flurries Tuesday Morning
TODAY: There is a chance for a light mist this morning and flurries south of I-70 for the morning commute. Temperatures are cooler this morning, in the upper 20s with wind chills dipping to the teens. The ground looks to be around 36 this morning in most locations, while bridges may be slick that do have an ongoing mist this morning. Clouds look to stay with us through this evening before they erode north of I-70 this evening and overnight south. Temperatures in the afternoon, should stay 15 degrees below normal in the upper 30s.
TONIGHT: As skies clear temperatures should fall to the low 20s overnight. A north wind overnight will bring temperatures on Wednesday morning, the coldest morning of the week with a wind chill possibly dipping in the single digits in locations.
EXTENDED: We finally see the cold system exit to the east as we head into the middle of the week. Despite that, temperatures will take a while to warm up. Rain returns Thursday evening into Friday morning. Friday afternoon may bring a few storms in southeast Mid-Missouri south of the Missouri River. By this weekend and the official start to spring, temperatures will be more pleasant in the upper 60s to near 70.
