Mizzou softball picked to finish fifth in the SEC

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The SEC league coaches picked the Mizzou softball team to finish fifth in the conference, the league announced on Monday. MU had never been selected better than sixth.

Alabama was chosen to win the the conference. You can check out the full rankings below.

Head coach Larissa Anderson is entering her fourth season as the Tigers head coach. MU came within one game of reaching the College World Series in 2021. The Tigers will return almost their entire roster from last year's team - including eight super seniors.

MU will open up the season on Feb. 11 in Leesburg, Florida for the Northern Lights Invitational.
