Police investigating early morning shooting, fire at Columbia home

Columbia police are investigating a shooting at a home on Vandiver Drive in Columbia, where a small outside fire also started early Sunday morning.

Law enforcement officials were called to the area around 5 a.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting.

Columbia police officers located a home i the area that had been struck by gunfire multiple times. Police say there was residence inside the home, but no one was injured.

Additionally, fire crews were on scene for an outside fire at the home. Officials said there was apparently a fire on the outside of the back of the house.

Earlier Sunday morning, an armed robbery was reported at the Waffle House, where one car was hit by bullets.
