One person taken to hospital after crash in Columbia
Boone County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a crash that sent one person to the hospital Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened just before 2 p.m. near Clark Lane and St. Charles Road.
Authorities on scene said the driver went off the road and crashed into an unoccupied parked car in the Lakeview Mall parking lot. The parked car flipped and hit another unoccupied parked car.
The driver was taken to the hospital with what authorities described as serious injuries.
At this time, it’s unclear what caused the driver to go off the road into the parking lot.
