Man arrested for stealing after woman dies in East Wall Street home

A 36-year-old woman was pronounced dead on Feb. 17 at a East Wall Street home after the Boone County Fire Department and the Sturgeon Police Department tried to administer CPR. The authorities were called there for a cardiac arrest.

Because of the young age of the victim, no witnesses to her collapse and the alleged use of heroin before her death, the Boone County Medical Examiner was called. The results of the autopsy are still pending.

The home’s owner was told of the incident and later reported two air conditioners and a trundle bed were stolen from the home. The stolen items were found in a Columbia pawn shop.

Ronnie L. Long, the other adult living at the home, was arrested and charged with felony stealing. The death investigation is still ongoing.
