Chilly Wednesday Morning with Mild Afternoon Temperatures

TODAY: It will start of much cooler with temperatures in the mid 30s for the morning commute under a mostly clear sky. It be another breezy day with high temperatures reaching the mid 60s. Westerly winds sustained at 10-18 mph will gust as high as 30 mph at times in the afternoon. A Red Flag Warning is valid from 11AM through 6PM for those west of US 63 where outdoor burning is highly discouraged again today.

TONIGHT: Skies will remain mostly clear overnight with winds becoming light under 10 mph. A southerly wind will keep temperatures slightly more mild overnight in the mid 40s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures warm into the lower 70s Thursday with a chance of rain showers in the afternoon and evening, mainly near and south of I-70 from 4PM through 10PM. Under 1/4″ is likely for those south tomorrow. Friday will be cooler with highs in the low 50s. A mix of rain and snow moves in after 2 AM Friday night with a rain/snow mix as temperatures fall to near freezing by Saturday morning. Snow is possible through Saturday morning then back to a rain/ snow mix as temperatures hover in the mid-upper 30s in the afternoon. It’s still too early to determine if we’ll see accumulation and how much. We’ll have updates in coming days as new data comes in. At this time, Sunday looks to be dry and cool with highs in the low 40s. We’ll keep an eye for possible snow returning again on Monday of next week as a possible clipper looks to move in by Monday morning.
