What’s Going Around: March 7, 2017

Finally, mid-Missouri is starting to feel a little bit better!

Dr. Flynn of Mizzou Quick Care and Urgent Care said she has seen fewer patients this week.

She said after the flu started calming down last week, it is staying calm. The three-week peak of the flu has passed.

Pneumonia, however, is going around. Symptoms include coughing, fever and chills.

Bronchitis is also making patients sick and has stayed strong through most of this winter.

Flynn said she is taking care of a lot of physicals for athletes for the spring sports season.
