12-year-old boy found dead in Cooper County
The Cooper County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a young gunshot victim around 9 p.m. Saturday.
When deputies arrived to the scene, in the southwest portion of Cooper County, they found a 12-year-old boy dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
The Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are working together to try to determine what happened to the boy before he died.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
