Sunday’s forecast holds a chance of both rain and snow
TONIGHT: Temperatures will be dropping below freezing once again for your Saturday night. Clear skies will help it cool down quickly, feeling even colder thanks to the slight breeze out of the south. By the morning hours, temperatures will be in the mid 20s with just a slight chance of snow flurries, but no accumulation is expected.
SUNDAY: A chance for a rain/snow mix exists during the day and evening starting up after 9 AM for areas near HWY 65 and increasing into Columbia by noon. No snow accumulation is expected since surface air temperatures will be in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees during this time. Liquid accumulation may reach 1/10″ with localized amounts reaching near 1/4″ for areas south of US 24. The rain will taper off by early Sunday evening.
EXTENDED: Another chance for rain moves late in the day Monday with high temperatures warming into the lower 50s Monday and into the mid 60s Tuesday. A slight chance of rain and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder will be possible late Tuesday and into early Wednesday morning. The high temperatures for the rest of the week will be reaching into the 50s with lows in the 30s. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
